This position Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient#39;s norm./pp/ppbuEducation/u/b/ppHigh School Grad or Equivalent/pp/ppbuCertification/Licensure/u/b/pullipCompletion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire./p/lilipCandidates who have not completed a monitor technician surveillance program must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire./p/lilipOr 1 year experience in monitor technician surveillance within the last 5 years will be accepted in substitute of a monitor tech surveillance program/course./p/li/ulp/ppbTo be released from new employee orientation all Monitor Technicians must successfully complete the Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool which includes passing a basic arrhythmia exam./b/pp/ppbuExperience/u/b/ppAny previous health care experience can be considered.
