Employment Type: Full-Time, 213 Day Contract Position Summary Houston Public School District is seeking an Assistant Principal for Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA) Elementary and Middle School, serving grades K-8. This position supports the Principal in providing instructional leadership, supervising staff, supporting student success, and ensuring compliance in a virtual learning environment. Key Responsibilities Support curriculum, instruction, and assessment aligned with Minnesota standards Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff Monitor student achievement, attendance, and engagement Promote a positive and inclusive virtual school culture Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Support state testing and required in-person activities Collaborate with families, staff, and community partners Minimum Qualifications Valid Minnesota K-12 Principal license Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in virtual or online education Prior leadership experience Strong communication and technology skills Application Process Apply through the Houston Public School District website at www.houston.k12.mn.us .
