They are seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to tackle a significant backlog of work, focusing on updating IT asset data and processes, ensuring accuracy, and managing licensing and procurement through Value-Added Resellers (VARs). Responsibilities: • Execute against a large backlog of IT asset data cleanup within Jira, which serves as our primary platform for all ITAM and ITSM activities. You will create, manage, and complete tasks related to the entire asset lifecycle, from procurement to disposal, all within Jira. • Use your experience working with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to track and manage software licenses, renewals, and hardware procurement. You will ensure we maintain compliance with various licensing agreements. • Identify and propose improvements to our current Jira-based ITAM/ITSM workflows, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and data accuracy. • Perform regular audits and reconciliations to ensure all asset data stored in Jira is accurate. You will also create and analyze reports on asset inventory, software usage, and licensing compliance. • Work closely with internal teams, including IT Operations, Finance, and Legal, to ensure our ITAM processes are aligned with business needs and industry best practices. Qualifications: Required: • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT Asset Management. • Proven experience executing against an ITAM backlog cleanup project. • Extensive, hands-on experience using Jira as the primary ITAM and ITSM tool. • Direct experience working with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) for licensing and procurement. • Strong proficiency with Jira for managing IT assets, incidents, changes, and service requests. • Solid knowledge of asset inventory and discovery processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
