Microsoft SQL Server Data Architect

We’re seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Data Architect to design scalable data models, optimize performance, and drive Enterprise Data Flows. What You’ll Do: • Architect and optimize SQL Server databases • Work closely with the Business Leadership team. • Build and tune queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines • Ensure data quality, governance, and security • Lead Enterprise Data Initiatives (Data Warehouse, Data Lake House, Azure SQL, Synapse) About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Microsoft SQL Server Data Architect to design and optimize our enterprise data environment. You will define database architecture, data models, and governance practices while ensuring performance, scalability, and security across our systems. Responsibilities: • Design and maintain SQL Server data models and database structures • Collaborate with the business leadership teams and provide technical leadership • Develop and optimize stored procedures, queries, and indexing strategies • Implement data governance, quality, and security best practices • Support data integration, ETL processes, and BI/reporting solutions • Assist with Enterprise data initiatives (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake House) Qualifications: • 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise experience (2019 and above) • Strong skills in T-SQL, performance tuning, and database optimization • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS or Azure equivalents • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred: • Azure Database / Data Engineer certification • Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI Job Type: Full-time Base Pay: From $100.00 per day Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off Application Question(s): • Do you have 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise experience (2019 and above)? • Do you have experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS or Azure equivalents? • Do you have an Azure Database/Data Engineer Certification? • Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI? • What are your compensation requirements to accept a new position?
