Microsoft Azure Migration Architect (Contractor)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Microsoft Azure Migration Architect to join our team as a contractor. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, planning, and execution of complex on-premises to Azure cloud migrations for our clients. You'll be the key technical leader on these projects, responsible for architecting solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and develop comprehensive migration strategies and roadmaps.
ā¢ Create scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure architectures that follow industry best practices.
ā¢ Lead and execute the migration process, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and application modernization.
ā¢ Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
ā¢ Create detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and migration guides.
ā¢ Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and high availability post-migration.

Must-Have:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in Azure and 2+ years in DevOps.
ā¢ Experience with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies, including:
ā¢ *
Build automation frameworks (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
ā¢ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
ā¢ Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
ā¢ Scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python).
ā¢ Strong understanding of software development principles.
ā¢ Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows.
ā¢ Expertise with cloud monitoring and management systems.
ā¢ Experience with cloud security principles and best practices.
ā¢ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ā¢ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
ā¢ Ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly.
Nice-to-Have:
ā¢ Cloud and DevOps certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
ā¢ Previous experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, financial, defense).
ā¢ Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, NIST, HIPAA, and/or SOC2.
ā¢ Auditing and policy-writing experience.
