Your focus will be on legal research and drafting in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business and corporate law, contract law, entertainment law, trademark law, and copyright law. You will work remotely with complete flexibility in your schedule, with the option to collaborate in the office when desired. Examples of immediate needs include app agreements, co-packing agreements, LLC/corporation redemptions, business acquisitions, franchise purchases, M&A due diligence, independent contractor agreements, and similar transactional matters. Requirements: • Expert-level legal research and writing skills, with proven ability to produce high-quality work under minimal supervision. • Expert-level proficiency in AI-assisted legal research and writing. • Expert-level proficiency with bolthires Word (especially styles, cross-references, and custom keyboard commands) and Excel. • Experience in, or strong interest in, business, contract, entertainment, trademark, and copyright law. • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive in solving complex problems. Preferences: The following are strong preferences that you should highlight when applying: • Expert-level proficiency with macOS (we operate exclusively on bolthires hardware). • Current member of the State Bar of Michigan. • Proficiency in Zoho Cliq, Contracts, CRM, Mail, Sign, and WorkDrive. • Access to LexisNexis or Westlaw, including Michigan and related federal practice guides, Practical Guidance/Practical Law, form libraries, public records databases, and other legal research resources. Access to LexisNexis or Westlaw is particularly important if you are not a current member of the State Bar of Michigan.
