POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for account analysis, past due, lag dollar tracking and interaction with other FedEx Enterprise departments regarding pricing activity through oversight and financial analysts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Select, train, develop and motivate a staff of employees • Provide data and interpretation of account results, including statistical and variance analysis and communicate to all levels of management via oral and/or written presentations • Participate in monthly account tracking and review meetings • Provide monthly account analysis communicating and working with sales to close on time and minimize lag dollars lost • Lead in pricing analysis utilizing advanced computer modeling techniques and database tools • Assist with the coordination of the annual account reviews for FedEx Freight Inc., Canada, and Mexico • Manage the development of the long range outlook for FedEx Freight Inc. • Provide account planning, analysis and decision-support insight to business partners throughout the organization • Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvement and problem solving teams • Continuously improve and construct new capabilities around performance metric analysis • Maintain and develop systems and processes to support the account review process for both financial and operational needs; automate and simplify redundancies in processes and reporting • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures • Perform other duties as required Disclaimer: This job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting or business plus five (5) years’ experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting or operations analysis/management • Extensive financial analysis skills including variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be able to perform at both a strategic and functional level and meet tight deadlines • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills • Experience in LTL transportation preferred • Proven leadership ability; comfortable working with all levels within the company • Proven record of working jointly with others to produce results • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or financial support systems • Strong communications skills to include presentation abilities Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: Pay: Additional Details: FedEx Freight is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans. • Know Your Rights • Pay Transparency If you have a disability and you need assistance in order to apply for a position with FedEx Freight, please call 800-888-8252 or e-mail at [email protected].
