Mgr, Plant Accounting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects and analyzes data to determine cost of business activities such as raw material purchases, material usage variances, labor and variable overhead
Completes composite reports from a variety of individual reports which are needed by management such as weekly cash flow forecasts, month capital forecasts, and monthly financial reporting
Assists in the preparation of annual budgets for each cost center of the plant
Prepares monthly work-in-process (WIP) inventory, coordinates and directs routine cycle counts of WIP.
Issues written and oral instructions
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of employees
Maintains harmony among workers and resolves complaints
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
