MFSA Finance Officer (EMI)

To support this exciting phase of growth, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Officer to establish and oversee all financial aspects of our operations in Malta and globally.Your regular tasksDevelop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goalsOversee the preparation and submission of accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards, including any other relevant standardsManage cash flow, P&L performance and efficient treasury operationsFinancial control experience with a focus on prudent funds and cost managementLead internal and external audits, addressing findings effectivelyBuild and manage a high-performing finance teamDevelop financial models to aid strategic planning and scenario analysisProvide actionable financial insights to support executive decision-makingEnsure compliance with local and international financial regulationsThe company may require the hired candidate to act as an official representative in interactions with regulators and authorities, and be appointed as the regulatory representative nominee with the Malta Central Bank, MFSA and any other relevant authoritiesData extraction, analysis and structuring for reporting purposesSkills & Requirements3+ years of experience in financial roles within FinTech industries (EMI/PSP/ or related)Experience with the MFSA licenseExperience preparing and submitting BR06 and Payments Statistics Survey (CMPSS) reports for Malta’s finance industryExpertise in auditing and safeguarding accountsExperience with the regulatory reportingUnderstanding of payment systems and electronic money operationsExpertise in regulatory compliance, financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS), tax regulations, and financial auditFamiliarity with financial reports for regulators, including Central Banks or MFSADemonstrated success in managing cash flow, liquidity, and auditsExperience in corporate finance, including capital structure and budgetingProven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in dynamic environmentsFamiliarity with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, 1C, Oracle or other)Fluent English and Ukrainian/Russian are a mustMaltese language would be a plusEducationA Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferredProfessional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are a plusWhat's In It For YouAt PayDo, specialists are at the heart of our innovation and success.
