MERS Compliance & Reporting Analyst
Overview
Seeking a candidate with experience in the U.S. mortgage industry and MERS system to support MERS-related activities including loan registrations, data reconciliation, and annual compliance reporting. The role will ensure accuracy of loan information in the MERS system and adherence to MERSCORP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Perform loan registrations, updates, and transfers within the MERS System.
ā¢ Maintain and validate Mortgage Identification Numbers (MINs) and related loan data.
ā¢ Support annual MERS reporting and compliance requirements.
ā¢ Perform portfolio reconciliation between internal loan systems and MERS.
ā¢ Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to MERS registrations and loan data.
ā¢ Coordinate with internal teams such as closing, post-closing, servicing, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in the U.S. mortgage industry.
ā¢ Hands-on experience with the MERS System / MERS eRegistry.
ā¢ Knowledge of loan registration, transfers of servicing rights, and MERS processes.
ā¢ Strong data reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
