Position Title: Merchandise Allocator Department: Wholesale Reports To: Sr. Director, Wholesale Account Services Employment Status: Remote, Detroit Metropolitan Based Position Summary: As a Merchandise Allocator within our Wholesale Account Services Department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely allocation and picking of products across our distribution network. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Wholesale Account Services, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the overall efficiency of the inventory allocation process. Key Responsibilities: Execute daily inventory allocation tasks in accordance with established procedures. Collaborate with the Inside Sales Support and Decoration Operations Managers to prioritize and allocate products based on demand forecasts. Regularly audit and reconcile inventory records in Apparel Magic to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in allocated quantities. Assign decoration vendors to all orders receiving decoration. Build and send daily reports of picks and orders with errors to the Inside Sales Support team. Communicate effectively with the Warehouse, Inside Sales Support, and Logistics teams to understand product demand and inventory requirements. Collaborate with team members to address allocation challenges and ensure timely resolution. Ensure all customer routing guidelines and specific logistics details are met. Adhere to all EDI requirements for customers that utilize this functionality. Adhere to established inventory allocation processes and guidelines. Assist in the Identification of process improvement opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in inventory management or a related field. Familiarity with inventory management systems. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
