Job Description As an MEP Cost Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for federal-sector projects. You will collaborate with project teams to provide conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction-level estimates, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with federal standards. The MEP Construction Estimator - Federal Projects - REMOTE will: • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems • Develop conceptual, schematic, and construction-level estimates using UNIFORMAT and CSI divisions • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing using RSMeans and other cost databases • Prepare change order estimates and market research studies for cost analysis • Track and compare planned vs. actual costs, recommending corrective actions as needed • Develop RFIs and clarifications to ensure adequate subcontractor coverage • Provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates during planning phases • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and accurate deliverable MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant The MEP Construction Estimator - Federal Projects - REMOTE will have: • 5+ years of MEP estimation experience across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection • Background in consulting or cost advisory (not contractor/GC only) • Proficiency in federal-sector standards (UNIFORMAT) and software such as MII, Success Estimator, RSMeans • Strong skills in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Microsoft Office Suite • ASPE or AACEI certification preferred • Ability to pass HSPD-12 background check • Excellent communication and analytical skills; able to work independently from day one What's on Offer The MEP Construction Estimator - Federal Projects - REMOTE will receive: • Salary range: $110,000-$145,000 DOE (junior or senior level) • Mostly remote role with occasional travel to DC or client sites • Opportunity to work on diverse federal projects (courthouses, airports, laboratories, historic buildings) • Collaborative team environment with growth potential • Comprehensive benefits package Apply tot his job
