The Role
As a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist (Virtual), your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K-12 students. You will work collaboratively with school personnel, family members, and other stakeholders to bring accessible healthcare to students nationwide.
Responsibilities
Provide virtual mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to K-12 students
Conduct initial mental health intake assessments and create individual treatment plans
Collaborate with the care management team to ensure a successful transition into Hazel services
Participate in trainings, meetings, and other activities
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Meet minimum required weekly availability and productivity levels
Requirements
Licensed as an independent mental health therapist in NC and the state where you reside
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school-based setting or with school-aged children
Working knowledge of diagnosis and assessment practices, treatment strategies, and interventions related to mental health needs of children and their families
Strong technological skills, including ability to learn new software and programs
Effective communication and organizational skills
Willingness to obtain licensure in other states, as needed
