Mental Health Counselor (LMHC or MHC-P) – Part-Time with Full-Time Potential
Kind Mental Health Counselors is a values-driven group practice based in Kenmore, NY, committed to both exceptional client care and therapist well-being. Grounded in compassion and mutual respect, our mission is to provide holistic, client-centered care in a supportive and inclusive environment. We’re currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC or MHC-P) to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to build toward a full-time caseload based on your goals and availability. This is a flexible position with options for fully remote, hybrid, or in-office work. A minimum of 10 client-facing hours per week is required.

What You’ll Do
• Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy via telehealth, in-person, or both
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Adhere to all HIPAA, legal, and ethical standards
• Maintain a quiet, professional home office with reliable access to internet, computer, phone, and video
• Maintain an active NYS LMHC/MHC-P and malpractice insurance
• Commit to ongoing professional development and self-care
• Maintain a minimum of 10 clinical hours per week
What We’re Looking For
Required:
• NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or NYS Mental Health Counselor Permit Holder (MHC-P)
• Experience with virtual counseling
• Compassionate, inclusive, and client-centered therapeutic approach
• Strong organization and timely documentation
• Reliable, private home office setup with internet and video capabilities
Preferred:
• Evening (3–9 PM) and/or weekend availability
• Experience or interest in working with children, couples, or families
