This role will coordinate and implement processes for medical billing of commercial insurance and government program claims for all Cardiology devices. This will include ensuring all posting of charges are accurate, submit and re-submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers, resolve claim rejection instances, and achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided across all lines of business (Commercial/Medicare/Medicaid). The position is also responsible for ensuring the efficiency of billing operations by following federal and state billing regulations.Your teamBardy Diagnostics, Inc. Identify missing / inaccurate information and gather / correct, as necessary, following billing guidelines.Complete quality review of patient files to ensure claims are billed accurately and align with each payer’s rules and regulations.Perform necessary follow-up functions for the timely processing of claims, including EDI submission via clearinghouse, printing of claims, sorting attachments, and mailing when applicable.Assist with handling un billable revenue, clearinghouse rejected claims, and other reports daily, and provide updates to management as needed.Reference reimbursement policies/procedures assigned to this role and maintain current knowledge with changes in billing regulations, insurance-specific policies, and company policy and procedures.Identify any areas of opportunity for improved documentation or efficiency in daily work and communicate back to the billing supervisor.Follow up on unbilled claims within the required billing time framesSolid understanding of CCI Edits, CPT, and ICD-10 codesBasic understanding of insurance verifications and patient demographicsPerform other projects and duties as assigned.What you'll bringHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred3+ years of experience in a medical related business environment requiredBilling database software experience requiredClearinghouse and payer portal experience preferredKnowledge of insurance industry and third-party payer processesProven data entry skills requiredAbility to organize and prioritize workloadStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and manage workloadStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communicationsMust be proficient in Microsoft ExcelBaxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace.
