Job description: This position requires sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing).

Shift

Schedule flexibility is very important. Required schedule is Sunday through Thursday. Flexible hours on Sunday and 2:00pm EST to 10:30pm EST Monday through Thursday. This is a remote position.

Job Summary

This position will mainly support the transcribing needs for the psychiatric departments of UK HealthCare.

The medical transcriptionist will be responsible for transcribing documents, validating data on transcribed documents, communicating with staff and physicians and executing excellent customer service.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word experience and knowledge in using Outlook and 3M. Having high attention to detail; excellent communication skills (both written & verbal); ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment; ability to be flexible and to learn new things quickly is also important for this role. Medical transcription, grammar, spelling, punctuation and medical terminology is essential.

Preferred Education/Experience

Associates degree preferred or relevant two years of transcribing experience desired
