The Medical Transcriptionist position at Workwarp involves providing high-quality transcription services directly to healthcare providers. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical practices. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing dictated information to produce medical and clinical documents, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the documentation process.

Key Responsibilities:


Medical Transcription: Transcribe dictated information to produce medical and clinical documents, including patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Documentation and Data Entry: Document SOAP notes and enter diagnoses, ICD-10 codes, and other relevant information into patient records.
Order Management: Pend prescriptions, lab orders, referrals, and imaging studies for provider approval, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Billing and Coding: Input billing, E&M codes, and CPT codes for various medical conditions, ensuring accurate reimbursement and compliance.
Provider Support: Assist providers with non-medical inquiries and tasks as needed, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Clinical Clarification: Prompt providers with appropriate questions regarding patient care and orders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in the documentation process.


Requirements: The Ideal Candidate

To succeed as a Medical Transcriptionist at Workwarp, you must possess a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical practices. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Qualifications:


Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Age: Must be 18 years or older.
Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical practices.
Experience: 1+ year of experience as a medical transcriptionist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Work Schedule: Ability to work normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:30 pm EST, Monday - Friday.


Preferred Qualifications:


Bilingual Fluency: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
