Medical Transcriptionist - Orthopedics
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team that has experience! The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports and documents from audio recordings made by healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to type efficiently and maintain confidentiality. ******In person position preferred. Duties
• Transcribe dictated reports, notes, and other medical documents into written format with high accuracy.
• Ensure all transcriptions are completed within designated timeframes while adhering to quality standards.
• Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and adherence to medical terminology.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear dictations or terminology.
• Stay updated on changes in medical terminology and transcription practices.
Requirements
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
• Excellent typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with transcription software and equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Medical transcription experience
