Responsibilities:
- Transcribe medical reports and documentation accurately into the electronic medical record system.
- Interpret and transcribe medical terminology, diagnoses, procedures, and medications with precision.
- Review transcribed documents for errors, inconsistencies, and missing information.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to clarify dictations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Update and maintain electronic medical records with transcribed reports in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriber or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or technology-related setting.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in using transcription software and electronic medical record systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Medical Transcription or related field is a plus.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Additional training in healthcare administration or technology is a plus.
