Medical Science Liaison II, Great Plains

Job Description:We’re looking for a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison II (MSL II) to serve as a field-based scientific expert within oncology. In this role, you will build and maintain credible, peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals, while providing balanced, evidence-based information on our investigational and marketed therapies. You’ll play a critical role in gathering clinical insights, supporting research, and ensuring our scientific communications are accurate, compliant, and strategically aligned.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with KOLs and external experts to discuss clinical data, emerging research, and disease-state insightsSupport investigator-initiated and company-sponsored studies and represent the company at scientific meetings and congressesDeliver clear, balanced scientific presentations and communicate field insights to internal stakeholdersSummarize key scientific updates and competitive intelligence to inform medical strategy and evidence-generation plansCollaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to support clinical trial feasibility, investigator identification, and educational initiativesEnsure all activities comply with SOPs, PhRMA Code, and global regulatory requirements while staying current on evolving oncology researchContribute to internal training, medical planning, and continuous improvement of field processesQualifications:Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)Minimum 10 years of pharma/biotech experience, including at least 3 years as an MSL or in a field medical roleStrong understanding of oncology disease states and emerging therapiesExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to distill complex scientific data into clear, actionable insightsAdditional Information:Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $192,800 - $264,000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.​Deciphera believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package to all employees.
