About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Records Release of Information Specialist to join our team. As a remote-based professional, you'll be responsible for initiating the medical records release process by inputting data into customized software programs. You'll be supporting the largest health and hospital system in the United States, ensuring the secure and private handling of confidential health information.

Responsibilities:


Read and interpret medical records, authorizations, and forms
Perform audit functions to ensure compliance
Support the resolution of compliance issues in a timely manner
Other clerical duties as assigned


Candidate Profile:


High School Diploma or GED required
3+ years of previous Release of Information (ROI) experience
Strong experience with audits and medical records
Proficient computer skills, with experience using Epic (or similar systems)
Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations desired
Effective communication, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment


What We Offer:


Competitive salary: $15.25 - $19 per hour (dependent on experience)
Full-time position: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
