The ideal candidate is empathetic, thoughtful, and has a genuine desire to help others. This role involves interacting with our client’s customers in their homes to assist with the delivery and set-up of medical equipment. Paid training is provided by our customer.

Shift Schedule: varies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct daily deliveries of home medical equipment and supplies to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.

Instruct customers on the safe and appropriate use of prescribed medical equipment.

Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.

Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.

Utilize company delivery software.

Assists in solving problems regarding equipment use.

Schedules and organizes daily deliveries and pickups according to geographic territory.

Loads and unloads durable medical equipment (DME), oxygen and medical supplies onto delivery vehicle.

Skills and Qualifications:

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.

Valid Driver’s license required; minimum of 3 years driving history required

Safely operate a motor vehicle during day and night and in a wide range of weather and traffic conditions

Successful completion of training program

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Computer skills to include handheld devices, smart phones, scanner

Language skills: English (reading, writing, verbal)

Excellent Customer Service skills

Physical Demands:

Driver continually engages in activities that require talking and hearing

This position requires frequent variations including sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching or stopping.

Frequently required to stand and lift objects from 1”-36” high with weights ranging from 10 pounds to 160 pounds and carry objects for distances ranging from 1 ft-350 ft, including travel up and down stairs or in elevators.

Frequently required to push or pull objects weight from 20 pounds – 60 pounds, up and down stairs, through doorways and thresholds, using dollies or carts, or on flat or angled surfaces which may include outdoor surfaces, carpeting or smooth floors. Distances pushed or pulled could range from 1-25 feet on average.

Frequently required to grip objects with hands, up to 15 pounds of force.

Frequently required to grip objects with fingers, up to 10 pounds of force.

Frequently required to climb 100 stairs on average ranging from 3’-10’ in height.

Frequently required to bend down at the waist to a torso level of 24” above the floor

Frequently required to reach, on average, 20” away from the body.

Occasionally required to kneel on one or both knees and squat to perform many of the above tasks.

Will be required to wear various personal protective equipment (PPE) consistent with the hazards encountered in this role.
