Medical Coding Service Customer Liaison

Position Overview: The Medical Coding Customer Liaison Senior Associate will serve as a vital link between our clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to achieve Medical Coding service goals and results. This role requires a seasoned certified coder with a strong background in project management and client engagement. The ideal candidate will exemplify exceptional interpersonal skills, issue management, critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer centric service. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): 60% Coding Subject Matter Expert & Client Engagement: • Act as the primary point of contact for post-live strategic clients regarding medical coding inquiries, concerns, and engagement needs ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded. • Leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address client concerns and coding challenges, providing innovative solutions and recommendations. • Provide guidance to clients on coding processes, guidelines, and best practices, fostering a strong understanding of coding requirements to enable successful outcomes on our service. • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project progress, and coding outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored support. 30% Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration: • Lead and manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of coding audits, corrections and successful service outcomes. • Provide feedback and guidance to internal coding teams and customers to enhance accuracy and efficiency of coding processes and drive successful client outcomes. 10% Data Analysis & Presentation • Analyze reports on coding performance and client feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement. • Present findings and recommendations to management, customers and stakeholders to drive strategic decisions and improvement. Education & Experience • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification required. • 3-5 years of Medical Coding experience • Client Service experience • Experience working with cross-functional groups and teams to achieve common goals • Experience communicating with stakeholders Knowledge and Skills: • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a focus on client satisfaction. • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess situations and develop effective solutions. • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
