About the Role: We are looking for an experienced medical biller with significant experience in Home Health / Care Billing [PDGM experience] • State Programs: Massachusetts ONLY • Location: US-Based • Commitment: Part Time • Job Type: Contractor / Employee (starts immediately) • Salary: Commensurate with experience • Contact: [email protected] Key Requirements: Understanding of PDGM billing, processing of Institutional for Home Health/Home Care Plans, AND proficiency with reporting in Massachusetts ONLY [please do not apply if lacking this experience] • Key Programs: Home Health [VNA, HHA, PCHM, etc] (MA-Only) Qualifications: • 3+ years of medical billing experience in Home Health billing in Massachusetts [non-negotiable] • Strong understanding of Home Health platforms - e.g., Kinnser, Alora, Homecare Homebase, Axxess, and clearinghouses, e.g., Waystar • Experience with PDGM billing and institutional claims • Proficiency with data manipulation and analysis, i.e., using spreadsheets • Expertise with ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems as they relate to Home Health • Excellent understanding of health insurance providers, Medicare, Medicaid and of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations for health care • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with experience working directly with customers / providers in a healthcare setting • Ability to delegate, understand and manage denials, and report Responsibilities: • Guide the onboarding of new customers and the setting up of new accounts across all applicable portals (EHRs, Clearinghouses, etc) • Ensure accurate coding and billing as relates to Home Health Care as billed by the Anise platform or through our partner Clearinghouses. • Work with the necessary Payors and EHRs Anise is integrated with to ensure efficient, error-free billing for Home Health claims • Understand and handle billing exceptions to best serve our providers but also improve our platform capabilities • Work with our Engineering team and Sales functions to improve customer experience and platform performance Preferred Qualifications [not required]: • 5+ years of medical billing experience, including considerable experiences with Medicare, Medicaid, and other Home Health programs. • General experience in other local programs in different states (MA-Only) • [Some] Knowledge of EDI X12 or ability to work with EDI healthcare systems and codes Timelines: To start IMMEDIATELY About Anise We’re building a next-gen smart medical billing platform to eliminate the $100B+ lost annually to billing inefficiencies.
