Medical Biller (Claims & Denials) – Remote – Miami, FL

We are a growing medical billing company based in Miami, Florida, working primarily with outpatient mental health clinics, Home Health. We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to support claims submission, denial resolution, insurance follow-up, and AR management. This is a remote, part-time position to start (15–20 hours per week), with the opportunity to increase hours as volume grows. The role begins as a 1099 contractor with a paid trial period based on performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently while meeting clear productivity expectations. Strong English communication skills are required for payer portals, insurance calls, and written claim notes. Responsibilities: - Submit medical claims through clearinghouse and payer portals - Review and correct claim rejections - Work insurance denials and perform follow-up on unpaid claims - Manage accounts receivable (30/60/90+ days) - Post payments and ERAs when needed - Maintain accurate and timely claim notes - Follow HIPAA and data security standards - Provide daily and weekly productivity updates Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of recent medical billing experience - Experience with claims submission, denials, and insurance follow-up - Ability to understand and work with CPT/ICD codes (no coding from scratch required) - Fluent English (spoken and written) – required - Reliable internet connection and secure remote workspace - Ability to meet productivity and quality expectations - HIPAA-compliant mindset Preferred Qualifications: - Mental health billing experience - Experience working remotely - Spanish (plus, not required) Screening Process: - Short skills review or sample task - Paid trial period (14–30 days), performance-based Job Type: Part-time Pay: $24.77 - $29.83 per hour Expected hours: 20 per week Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
