Medical Bill Review Case Developer

West Lake Hills, TX (position is 100% on-site)
Description*
Opportunity for a medical billing/coding professional or healthcare financial analyst with coding and billing training to review medical billing and clinical medical records for documented services and correct billing; preparation of charge data for reasonable cost analysis.
Job Duties:
Set up bill review spreadsheet workbook with all case details and determine if all records were received from client
Enter all medical billed charges into review spreadsheet workbook
Review clinical medical records for supporting documentation of billed charges
Provide coding review feedback to medical bill review expert witness consultants
Invoice clients for medical bill review services
Prepare service retainer invoices for special services
Follow-up on outstanding invoice balances
Contribute thoughtfully to a growing team of professionals who respect each other and promote each other in providing a unique and significant service to our healthcare system
Additional Skills & Qualifications*
MUST HAVES:
1) 3-5 years of medical billing experience
2) 3-5 years of medical coding experience
3) Proficiency in Microsoft suite specifically with Excel. Will need to compile and analyze data.
NICE TO HAVES:
1) experience working for a workers comp company
2) medical auditing experience
3) denials and appeals experience
4) experience within a pain management or orthopedic practice
Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
