Job Summary As a Medical Assisting Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you will be responsible for providing active and effective learning experiences for students in all applicable educational settings. This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical and online settings, as well as outside the classroom during campus and student activities. You will act as a professional and academic role model, upholding our core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement. Key Responsibilities Instruct classes as assigned, preparing lesson plans and course material as required Objectively assess students for academic performance, providing regular and constructive feedback Effectively organize and present subject matter to students, utilizing instructional plans and learning management systems Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting an example for professionalism and conduct Proactively inform Program Directors of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns Facilitate tutoring and makeup work as needed, ensuring and monitoring student participation Record keeping, scanning, and other administrative tasks as required Stay informed of current standards related to instructional methodology, participating in ongoing faculty and professional development activities Essential Qualifications High school diploma or its equivalent required Certificate of completion from a postsecondary institution in a relevant subject area (COE, TN) Minimum of three years of practical experience in the last seven years in the subject area to be taught (TN) Previous teaching experience strongly desired Knowledgeable in course content, with excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in phlebotomy, immunizations, venipuncture, injections, pharmacology, EKG, wound care, GYN procedures, and vital signs Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in dosage calculations Documentation, computer skills, administrative competency, EHR (electronic health records), and practice management knowledge Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Commitment to student satisfaction and success Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we are committed to the growth and development of our faculty and staff.
