Seeking Freelance Consultant – Medical Bill Settlement Support
We are looking for a detail-oriented freelance consultant to assist with the initial stages of hospital/provider claim settlements.
Scope of Work:
Prepare initial contact documents (patient name, DOS, claim details, diagnosis code, etc.).
Draft professional faxes/emails requesting billing/settlement correspondence.
Call hospitals and provider offices to confirm correct billing office contact details, including fax numbers and email addresses.
Send out the prepared documents to initiate communication.
Important: The consultant will not handle negotiation of the settlement itself. All negotiations will be handled by our client. Your role is strictly preparation and first contact.
Requirements:
Experience in medical billing, claims, or provider relations preferred.
Strong communication skills (phone and written).
Ability to work independently, with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
Deliverables:
Organized list of providers contacted with verified fax/email details.
Copies of faxes/emails sent.
Confirmation logs of initial outreach.
