Provide hands-on instruction through demonstrations and evaluate student competencies via return demonstrations. Sign, date, and provide feedback on student skills checklists as required. Manage simulation scenarios and assess student responses effectively. Conduct CPR instruction in compliance with American Heart Association guidelines. Teach and oversee practical skills, including phlebotomy, ECG monitoring, injections, and vital sign measurements. Guide students in triage, critical thinking, and patient documentation practices. Ensure proper handling and preparation of lab specimens for transport. Provide instruction on aseptic and sterile techniques, including PPE use and biohazard waste disposal. Stay current with healthcare competencies and standards relevant to assigned courses. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the program's objectives. Degree or post-secondary education with relevant experience meeting state (TWC) and ABHES accreditation requirements. Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience, with teaching experience preferred. Current certification, registration, or licensure as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Medical Doctor (M.D.). Basic Life Support Provider-Instructor Certification through the American Heart Association.
