Job Title: Medical Assistant – Behavioral Health (Hybrid Role)

Location: Hybrid – Must Be Located in West Valley / Phoenix, AZ

Hours & Schedule: Full-Time

Work Environment: Hybrid (Residential Treatment Center + Remote Admin Work)

Travel Required: Yes, local travel to all locations as needed across Arizona (Mainly Phoenix/West Valley)

Salary / Hourly Rate: $24 – $26 per hour

Job Summary:

This hybrid Medical Assistant position plays a critical role in our behavioral health services. The role includes traveling to various care locations across Arizona to provide clinical support, as well as working remotely to complete administrative tasks. These may include coordinating with pharmacies, scheduling, and participating in virtual team meetings. You’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to helping patients thrive.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Travel to multiple behavioral health care locations to support physicians and clinical staff
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical safety standards
• Take and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical histories
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
• Provide education and support to patients about behavioral health conditions and medications
• Manage patient records with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Assist in patient mobility, transfers, or positioning as needed
• From home, complete administrative tasks such as calling pharmacies, coordinating care, and running virtual meetings
• Schedule patient appointments and facilitate referrals
• Support care teams in dividing and managing caseloads across facilities
• Track and reorder medical supplies
• Attend ongoing training and team meetings

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
• 1–2 years of experience in any healthcare setting (Behavioral Health experience welcome but not required)
• Located in Arizona - Peoria, Buckeye, Phoenix (Or West Valley in Arizona)
• Ability to travel locally and manage a flexible schedule
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (if applicable)
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team-based "divide and conquer" workflow
