Description:
• Join Amgen’s Mission of Serving Patients
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of medical and clinical strategies
• Ensure the quality of medical services and represent the company in collaborating with external partners
• Lead Medical Affairs go-to-market launch planning and execution
• Communicate and partner with key external therapeutic experts (HCPs) to provide high level clinical education
• Provide a medical perspective to clinical and regulatory organizations
• Develop and support key clinical and medical affairs strategies in conjunction with commercial counterparts
• Interact and present to government, regulatory, and other partners to promote the corporation’s reputation
• Attend and support external medical meetings and conferences

Requirements:
• Doctorate degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience
• At least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources
• Medical degree preferred (MD or ex-US equivalent)
• Relevant clinical therapeutic experience preferred; focus in rheumatology preferred
• 3+ years in Medical Affairs and/or experience in rheumatology and/or immunology preferred
• Knowledge of clinical trial development and direction preferred
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Able to demonstrate problem solving and risk mitigation skills
• Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Ability to adapt easily to changing work environment, comfortable with ambiguity
