Job Overview:
The Medical Administrative Senior Representative will be part of a remote outreach team responsible for conducting significant phone and fax outreach to medical provider offices to collect medical health records. The role demands strong communication, computer, and organizational skills and the ability to manage substantial electronic data efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Daily outreach to healthcare providers via phone/fax to obtain medical records.
Electronically track and document outreach results, received medical records, invoices, and demographic data.
Utilize electronic filing software for document management, faxing, scanning, and abstracting files from storage devices.
Work under the direction of a Cigna Team Supervisor and follow established protocols.
Use Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Meet productivity standards and maintain meticulous recordkeeping.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype).
Ability to manage multiple systems, with comfort using dual monitors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in remote settings with a reliable internet connection.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and persistence in acquiring records.
Preferred:
Previous experience in medical administration, HEDIS operations, or call centers.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience in data entry and handling large amounts of electronic information.
Additional Requirements:
Must be comfortable being on the phone for extended periods daily.
Requires a secure designated workspace and a reliable internet connection (modem must be in the same room as the workspace).
Education:
Minimum: High school graduate or GED.
Preferred: Medical Assistant or Clinical Administrative Assistant experience.
