Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Medicaid Pricing Actuary provides actuarial support across a broad range of actuarial and business needs for Medicaid product lines. The Actuary works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.The Medicaid Pricing Actuary may be responsible for any combination of capitation rate review, drafting rate advocacy communications, actual-to-expected business analytics, forecasting market-specific financial results, and ad hoc market support. The Actuary will advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. They exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. The Actuary will use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.Use your skills to make an impact Required QualificationsBachelor's DegreeFSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designationsMAAAStrong technical and communication skillsExperience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending)8 or more years of technical experience2 or more years of project leadership experienceMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on growing and developing best practicesPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of Medicaid regulations, programs, and state plan benefitsExperience with capitation rate development from either the state agency or payer perspectiveDetailed understanding of healthcare claimsTravel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$129,300 - $177,800 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
