As a Media Planner at EssenceMediacom, you will support the development and execution of media plans while fostering strong relationships with clients and partner agencies to ensure seamless media strategy execution.ResponsibilitiesDay to day for some client contacts across accountsNurture relationships with and work directly with client partner agencies i.e. creativeBuild positive relationships with client contactsAssist in development and presentation of plans, in conjunction with senior plannersAbility to develop smaller plans and execute with minimal management directionAbility to keep track of developed campaigns and be able to speak about them to client and senior managementCapable of independently completing reports with little management guidance; adept at transforming narrative and statistics provided by vendors and teams into actionable insightsEnsure team deadlines are metAbility to provide communication response in a timely manner, especially to clientsOversee all media accounting, and administrative duties required on assigned accounts including monthly media expenditure reports (BCRs)Traffic campaigns to specialist teamsWork with AdOps and Account Manager to ensure all site tagging is complete prior to campaign launchEnsure checks are done when creative is received or when preview links are provided by teamsCarry out buy brief meetings with Investment TeamAbility to take detailed notes for meetings and provide contact reportsAccess appropriate research as it applies to clients’ needs, using proprietary toolsEffectively work with Finance, Investment Team, Traffic and other internal groups in order to ensure that client activity is in good orderSkills1-3 years media planning/buying experiencePost-secondary degree, specialization in Advertising and/or Marketing an assetStrong customer service skillsDemonstrated time management and multitasking skillsSolid collaborative and team work oriented skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSolid interpersonal skillsDetail oriented and able to meet tight deadlinesDetail, accuracy and mathematical competency a mustStrong computer skills with a particular emphasis in Excel and PowerPointAbility to manage and meet multiple demands within timelinesDesire to develop and excel in their media career and a passion for all things mediaAbility to develop smaller plans and execute with minimal management directionCapable of independently completing reports with little management guidance; adept at transforming narrative and statistics provided by vendors and teams into actionable insightsAbility to provide communication response in a timely manner, especially to clientsAbility to take detailed notes for meetings and provide contact reportsAccess appropriate research as it applies to clients' needs, using proprietary toolsEffectively work with Finance, Investment Team, Traffic and other internal groups in order to ensure that client activity is in good orderBegin to develop presentation skillsBenefitsCompetitive medicalGroup retirement plansVisionDental insuranceSignificant paid time offPreferential partner discountsEmployee mental health awareness daysCompany OverviewIntelligent growth in the AI era.
