Media Network Engineer, Prime Video Live Sports - Tech Ops

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, or related technical field • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and managing IP broadcast networks • 5 +years of direct experience using network switch Command Line Interface (CLI) for (Layer 2/3 network configuration, Network troubleshooting, Equipment management) • 3 + years experience implementing and managing SMPTE ST 2110 systems • 3 + years experience in live broadcast production environments • Demonstrated experience with IP multicast configuration and management, Quality of Service (QoS) implementation and Network security protocols and firewalls • Current CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification • 2+ years experience administering: DNS systems, DHCP services, IP Address Management (IPAM) tools • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS networking services, including: Direct Connect implementation, VPC configuration, Route tables management • 1+ year of experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) • 2+ years experience with infrastructure automation using either: Ansible, Terraform • 2+ years experience implementing and maintaining enterprise network monitoring systems: Creating technical documentation, Managing project lifecycles, Following change control procedures Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $256,100/year in our highest geographic market. Prime Video is seeking a Media Network Engineer for our Live Sports Production Technical Operations team. Come join a growing team of builders and innovators in creating and supporting real-time graphics and stages using the latest technologies! This role includes network design and implementation to support live production across our Sports portfolio (NFL, NHL, NWSL, NASCAR, and NBA. The media network engineer will also support for the design and build-out of new tech facilities on our Culver City campus. Key job responsibilities • Manage the daily troubleshooting, maintenance, and implementation of network infrastructure supporting live studio and remote productions. • Provide on-site network support five days per week in Culver City. • Support SMPTE ST 2110, command and control, and out-of-band management broadcast networks • Configure and maintain network hardware for video, audio, and data workflows—including monitoring, firewall security, and control systems. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and workflows; deploy timely updates to software and firmware. • Evaluate and implement the right technology for each production use case, prioritizing stability and performance. • Support global IP-based communication platforms and secure remote contribution networks. • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve pre-air issues; rapidly triage live production network incidents. • Design and operate with a security-first mindset; collaborate with Amazon Security for architecture reviews, firewall management, and continuous monitoring Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
