Job Description The Mechanical Estimator - HVAC - Fully Remote will be responsible for: • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to define the scope of work. • Conduct virtual and occasional on-site visits to assess project conditions. • Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead. • Utilize historical data, cost databases, and industry benchmarks to enhance estimating accuracy. • Develop comprehensive bid proposals outlining scope, costs, and qualifications. • Collaborate with bid teams to ensure alignment with project objectives. • Source, solicit, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes. • Maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing. • Identify risks impacting costs and propose mitigation strategies. • Work closely with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to refine project details. • Communicate clearly to ensure all teams understand and support estimates. The Successful Applicant The Mechanical Estimator - HVAC - Fully Remote will have: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. • 3-10 years of mechanical estimating experience, preferably commercial with a strong focus on multifamily projects. • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation. • Effective communication and collaboration skills. • Open to less experienced professionals who demonstrate strong potential.
