Mechanical bolthires Estimator (Remote)

Kadiak, LLC, currently has an opening for a Mechanical bolthires Estimator as part of the team performing mechanical system upgrades and installations in support of the Department of State. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Review solicitation documents and understand scope of work to bid. • Perform site surveys to understand project conditions, to properly incorporate the information in the bolthires estimate. • Prepare detailed bolthires estimates for mechanical systems and components of OBO projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.This includes itemizing costs for the bill of materials. • Develop and maintain bolthires databases for mechanical systems and components to assist in the preparation of bolthires estimates. • Coordinate with other bolthires estimators to ensure that overall project costs are properly allocated among the various disciplines. • Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals and material supplier costs to ensure that they are accurate and competitive. • Maintain accurate records of bolthires estimates and related documentation, including change orders and other project-related costs.Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Minimum of 8 years of experience in bolthires estimating with at least 5 years of experience in bolthires estimating for mechanical systems. • Experience with projects OCONUS. • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction practices. • Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to mechanical systems and components. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. • Proficient in the use of bolthires estimating software and bolthires Office applications. • Familiarity with RS Means bolthires database (or similar bolthires database) • Top Secret Clearance • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management or related fieldOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
