Maryland Part- time Psychiatric-mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMHNP with an integrative, conservative focus to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychiatric nursing, critical thinking, and reliability. This position involves telehealth services, allowing for flexible patient interactions.
Duties
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health status and medical history.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in telehealth consultations as needed to expand access to care.
• Address infectious disease care as it relates to mental health treatment.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures when necessary.
• Stay current with best practices in psychiatric nursing and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health.
• Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Experience in medication administration, including knowledge of psychotropic medications.
• Familiarity with ICU and hospital medicine practices is preferred.
• Experience working with laboratory results and understanding their implications for mental health care is advantageous.
• Knowledge of dermal fillers may be beneficial for specific patient populations.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic medical records systems.
