Marketing Consultant – Brand Audit & Growth Roadmap
Seeking an expert marketing consultant to conduct a comprehensive brand audit and develop a growth roadmap for our business. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, with deep knowledge across major online retailers and platforms. Experience in consumer products, particularly in the home health/medical support industry, is preferred. This part-time, one-time project requires an expert level of proficiency and is local to East Bay, CA, necessitating in-person meetings. The goal is to increase brand visibility and boost revenue growth.
Well established Manufacturer and distributor of home healthcare medical products is seeking an experienced marketing consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of our current marketing efforts and help us build a clear, actionable roadmap to drive brand recognition and sales growth.
This is a strategic role, not a hands-on execution role. The right candidate will evaluate what we’ve already done, identify gaps and opportunities, and guide us with a structured plan that aligns branding, messaging, channels, and performance metrics.
This role requires someone local to the California East Bay, as we prefer in-person or hybrid collaboration.
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
•Conduct a full marketing audit, including:
o Brand positioning & messaging
o Websites and digital presence
o Social media, content, and advertising efforts
o Market and competitive landscape
• Review past and current marketing initiatives, including:
o What has worked
o What has not
o Where resources may have been misallocated
• Define clear marketing goals and KPIs
• Create a step-by-step marketing roadmap, including:
o Priority initiatives
o Recommended channels
o Budget-level guidance
o Timeline (30 / 60 / 90 days and beyond)
• Provide guidance on:
o Brand recognition strategy
o Demand generation and sales enablement
o Internal vs outsourced execution
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience with marketing strategy or consulting
• Deep knowledge in marketing across major online retailers Amazon, Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, eBay, TikTok, Instagram, Shopify and others.
• Proven track record in brand development and revenue growth
• Experience working with consumer products, in home health/medical support products industry preferred
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to clearly explain complex marketing concepts to non-marketers
• California East Bay residence (Oakland, Berkeley, Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Hayward, etc.) preferred
