Brooklyn Aids Task Force was the very first HIV/AIDS organization in Brooklyn to prioritize serving persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) since 1986. Today, BAC provides mental health and substance use-related social services, comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, and coordinated health care and supportive services to under-served racial and ethnic minority communities in Brooklyn and other parts of New York City.

JOB SUMMARY: Bridging Access to Care (BAC) is a community-based organization providing prevention education, supportive housing, social services, substance use treatment, and mental health services. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing & Social Media Content Creator to support our strategic, programmatic, and fundraising efforts through engaging, mission-driven content.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this part-time, hybrid role focuses on developing marketing materials and managing social media content that promotes self-care, mental health, HIV prevention, and harm/risk reduction strategies related to substance use.

This position is ideal for someone who works well independently, values collaboration and feedback, and is committed to community-centered, trauma-informed communication.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCES:

Required Qualifications
• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree preferred (Human Services or related field encouraged, but equivalent experience will be considered)
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Graphic design and rapid creation of high-quality visual content
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Social media content creation and campaign execution for an organization or brand
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Experience using in-app creator tools across social media platforms and adapting to new technologies
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Ability to set up basic paid and targeted social media ads (demographic and geographic)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in: Experience interpreting social media and website analytics (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Analytics) and communicating insights clearly

Preferred
• Passion for expanding access to prevention, harm reduction, mental health, and HIV-related information
• Knowledge of HIV and substance use prevention
• Availability to attend occasional in-person events during evenings or weekends

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media Content & Campaigns (70%)
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging photo and video content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Approx. 2 posts/week on Facebook & Instagram
• Approx. 1 video/week on TikTok
• Maintain a consistent content calendar and publishing schedule
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure a cohesive and authentic brand voice
• Optimize content for reach, engagement, and accessibility
• Track and report social media engagement, including required reports for funding agencies (e.g., AIDS Institute Community Level Intervention reporting)

Marketing & Communications (30%)
• Design marketing materials such as flyers, posters, emails, brochures, and event materials, aligned with BAC’s brand
• Update and maintain website content; monitor performance using Google Analytics and make data-informed improvements
• Conduct interviews with staff, clients, partners, and volunteers to develop written profiles and testimonials
• Design and distribute digital newsletters for staff and/or donors using Network for Goo

Pay: $45.00 per hour
