Marketing and Sales Power BI Analyst
About the position
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Marketing and Sales Power BI Analyst to support the North American Transformers business. This role focuses on business intelligence reporting and defining metrics to drive continuous improvement, utilizing Power BI to facilitate management decision-making. The position involves collaboration with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, data acquisition, and the development of interactive visualizations.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate those needs into effective reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations.

ā¢ Collaborate with data teams and other analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data.
,
ā¢ Extract, transform, and load data from various sources such as Salesforce into Power BI for analysis and reporting purposes.

ā¢ Develop, automate, and maintain dataflows, datasets, and data pipelines for analytics and data modeling.
,
ā¢ Formulate DAX calculations and measures for quantitative metrics, qualitative metrics, and key performance indicators.
,
ā¢ Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to continuously improve business performance.
,
ā¢ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
,
ā¢ Be a subject matter expert on Power BI and related technologies, providing guidance and support on data modeling, Power Query, and DAX calculations.

ā¢ Ensure that best practices are leveraged and implemented proactively with specific focus on efficiency, compliance, data security, and process documentation.
Requirements
ā¢ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or relevant degree.

ā¢ Minimum 3 years of experience in a Power BI Analyst or similar role.
,
ā¢ Experience with Power BI and familiarity with DAX and the Power Query M formula language.
,
ā¢ Experience with a large company's CRM system like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
,
ā¢ Exposure to a large ERP system like Oracle or SAP.
,
ā¢ Familiarity with SQL.
,
ā¢ Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively to build working relationships with all stakeholders.
,
ā¢ Self-motivated, results-focused, analytical mindset with a penchant for details.
,
ā¢ Fluent in both writing and speaking in English.
,
ā¢ Experience implementing data-driven changes and exposure to lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Microsoft Certifications in Power BI Fundamentals and/or Power BI Data Analyst Associate are a plus.
