WaitWhat’s approach to content is unique in the industry, with a passion for inventing new business models and building inventive partnerships.About The RoleThe Marketing and Ad Operations Manager at WaitWhat will oversee our marketing technology stack, optimize workflows, analyze network insights and build scalable processes. As a key member of our dynamic team, you’ll balance data-driven thinking with hands-on execution—designing sophisticated workflows, implementing advanced audience segmentation, managing audio and video ad campaigns, and supporting integrated marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, excels in project management, and has a strong technical background. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with precision will be critical to success in this role.Responsibilities Marketing Technology Management: Oversee and optimize the marketing tech stack (e.g., CRM, email, analytics tools) for seamless integration and cross-platform functionalityCollaborate with Marketing, Content and Alliances teams to identify opportunities to implement new tools, technologies and workflows to streamline processesProvide training and support to ensure team members can leverage marketing tools, technologies, and best practices effectively Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze podcast listenership and network audience data to uncover insights on retention, growth opportunities, and campaign performanceBuild models, dashboards and reporting frameworks to track and optimize key marketing KPIs, including CAC, ROI, LTV, engagement and conversion, across multiple channelsDeliver up-to-date, data-driven insights for key stakeholder deliverables, including pitch decks and campaign wrap reportsDevelop attribution models to better understand the impact of various marketing channels Lifecycle Marketing Management: Develop data-driven communication workflows to engage users at key lifecycle stages and improve retentionImplement audience segmentation for personalized marketing outreach, including event invitationsRefine marketing operations processes by identifying and improving inefficienciesLeverage A/B testing and performance data to refine messaging and automation Ad Campaign Management: Manage audio and video ad distribution across channels, ensuring campaigns meet KPIsTrack and report on key metrics (e.g., impressions, conversion rates) to optimize performanceImplement best practices for campaign execution, tracking, and optimization Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in marketing operations or a related role, with a focus on process optimization and automationExperience with marketing technology platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Blaze, Triton Digital, Art19, Sprout Social, YouTube, and Google Analytics, including hands-on management of integrations and workflows (while expertise in every platform isn't required, strong proficiency in multiple is essential)Strong analytical skills with experience in data segmentation, reporting, and dashboard creation to drive data-informed marketing strategiesProven ability to design and implement logic-based workflows and automated email nurtures to enhance audience engagement and conversionExceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholdersAbility to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, demonstrating adaptability, collaboration and problem-solving skills Additional Information The final salary for this position will depend on various factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and geographical location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
