Develop and enhance market and counterparty risk models for Northern Trust, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in risk management practices. Conduct thorough analysis of financial markets and risk management techniques to inform model development and improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, investment strategy, and technology, to identify and implement solutions for model enhancements. Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing risk models and propose recommendations for improvements. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in risk management, and incorporate them into model development and enhancement. Communicate complex risk model concepts and results to various stakeholders, including senior management. Conduct stress-testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential market events on Northern Trust's risk exposure. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures related to risk management. Train and mentor junior team members on risk model development and implementation. Take ownership of projects and initiatives related to risk model development and contribute to the overall success of Northern Trust's risk management function.
