Market Research & Guest Insights Consultant for New Hotel Launch

We are preparing to launch a new hotel in Greece in approximately 2 months and are looking for an experienced freelancer to lead a research and insights project that will help us define how this new property should be positioned in the market. We already operate 3 other hotels, and for this new launch, we want to better understand traveler needs, guest expectations, booking behavior, and opportunities for differentiation. The goal is to identify what matters most to potential guests, what is currently missing or underserved in the market, and how this new hotel can stand out clearly from our existing properties and competitors. We have access to anonymized internal business data, including customer data, bookings, sales, digital marketing performance, and website analytics. We are looking for someone who can analyze these data sources, identify key patterns and insights, and combine them with market/consumer research in order to deliver clear recommendations. Scope of Work The freelancer will be expected to: - Review and analyze available internal data, including anonymized customer data, booking and sales data digital marketing performance, website analytics - Identify key customer segments, behaviors, preferences, and booking patterns - Assess traveler needs and expectations relevant to this type of hotel/property - Explore how the new hotel can be differentiated from our 3 existing hotels - Identify gaps, opportunities, and unmet guest needs in the market - Synthesize findings into actionable business insights - Deliver a final report with clear strategic recommendations for positioning, guest offering, messaging, and differentiation Expected Deliverables We expect the project to result in: - A structured insights report / presentation - Key findings from data and research - Guest/traveler need analysis - Segmentation and/or audience profiling - Recommendations on differentiation strategy for the new hotel - Practical suggestions for product, experience, communication, and positioning - Optional: ideas for survey design or customer research framework, if needed Ideal Freelancer We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following: - market research - customer insights - hospitality or travel industry analysis or ecommerce related field -consumer behavior - business/data analysis - strategic recommendations and reporting The ideal person should be able not only to analyze data, but also to turn findings into clear business recommendations. Project Timeline We would like to start soon, with the goal of having conclusions and recommendations before the hotel launch in approximately 2 months.
