We are changing aerospace. BETA is seeking a passionate, outside-the-box thinker who will design, implement, and improve assembly processes for Alia manufacturing. You will work with a bright and motivated cross-functional team, and deliver turnkey solutions to enable aerospace production at rate. Your work will bring the highest safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing overall, long-term costs. Your level of involvement will begin in the design phase of new programs all the way to stable, reliable production. How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation: Own all parts manufacturing for your product focus areaParticipate in periodic design and process reviews to ensure correct specifications and practicesDesign assembly processes, tools, and equipment that are efficient and maintainableUnderstand certification requirements and assess and reduce certification risks in the overall processCommission production processes and equipment through factory and site acceptance testingSubmit, review, and approve any changes for continuous improvement of ongoing productionSupport make/buy/return on investment analyses as required, validating external suppliersAnalyze production data to identify processes causing inefficiencies in overall process performancePlan sufficient capacity to meet business targets for production outputWorking with quality, design, and M&P to disposition NCRs that occur during buildsEnable Inventory management through and troubleshooting ERP issuesHands-on assembly of product when needed Minimum Qualifications we are seeking: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline0-2+ years of professional experience defining assembly processesExperience with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipmentComfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressureStrong foundation of problem-solving skills, statistical process control, design of experiments, and simulation techniquesUnderstanding of design for assembly, lean manufacturing, and capacity planning techniquesProject management and leadership experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to travel domestically or internationally Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you: Aerospace manufacturing experienceExposure to rapid manufacturing growth and preferably startup experienceLean Six Sigma experiencePLEX ERP system experience Additional Information Physical Demands and Work Environment:· Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time· Ability to lift up to 50 lbsBuild electric airplanes with us!We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.We are an equal opportunity employer.
