Primary Responsibilities: Leading a team of software engineers: You will be responsible for managing and providing guidance to a team of software engineers, overseeing their work, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Project management: You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing software development projects from initiation to completion. This includes defining project scope, setting goals, allocating resources, and managing timelines. Technical expertise: As a manager, you should have a solid technical background in software engineering. You will be expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team, as well as stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Team collaboration: You will facilitate effective collaboration within your team and foster a positive work environment. This includes promoting teamwork, facilitating communication, and resolving conflicts. Performance management: You will be responsible for evaluating the performance of your team members, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement. You will also be involved in hiring and onboarding new team members as needed. AI Builder: Design, develop and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI. Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks and drive continuous improvement. The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field Leadership experience: Experience in a leadership or managerial role is important. This includes managing software development teams, overseeing projects, and providing technical guidance and mentorship 10+ years of IT experience Java: 8+ years of solid knowledge and experience in Java programming language RESTful APIs: Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, including API documentation (Swagger/Open API) and adhering to best practices Agile Methodology: Knowledge of working in Agile development environments, including Scrum or Kanban Spring Boot: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security MongoDB: Solid knowledge in working with MongoDB, including data modeling, querying, and using the MongoDB Java driver or Spring Data MongoDB. Preferred if candidate has worked with large data sets containing millions of records Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns Communication skills: Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
