Our United Express team selects and manages our airline partners and ground handlers that carry the United Express name, ensuring a safe and profitable operation, and providing flights to smaller communities across the entire country.
Please note: This position may be hired at the Manager or Senior Manager level, depending on candidate background, skill level, and experience. The final compensation package will be commensurate with the level of hire and the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
• The Manager / Senior Manager – UAX Commercial Strategy will be responsible for developing and supporting the commercial activities of the United Express organization, including negotiations with our regional partners, developing the overall strategy, gaining internal alignment on key business outcomes and developing partnership with the leadership teams (CEO, CFO & COO) of our regional partners to support the operation and the route network.
• Support all commercial activities with our regional partners, including negotiations of CPA agreements / amendments, management of contract execution, and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate status updates are provided.
• Support the development of United Express's strategy by collaborating with the leadership team and other key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate mix of regional flying / partners. Develop short/medium/long term strategic plan for United Express to align with United Next initiatives.
• Oversee the creation of presentations and update materials for senior leaders on key United Express topics on a regular basis. Coordinate with other departments on semi-regular updates on United Express including labor relations, fleet and network planning.
• Support the broader United Express team and its initiatives with detailed knowledge of CPA contracts and financial acumen.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, Network Planning, Sales, or Legal
• 5+ years’ related experience
• Proven executive leadership interaction, managerial and analytical skills
• Knowledge of legal contracts between third parties
• Credibility and respect with peers, subordinates and superiors
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Adept at achieving buy-in from internal stakeholders
• Ability / knowledge at reading legal documents
• Prior negotiating experience with third parties
• Financial modeling of commercial business decisions
• Adept at building relationships required for reliable airline operations
• Ability to work independently with little direction
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
