Manager - Global Accounts Receivable
Description:
Come be a part of the Global Accounting Operations team at Discord, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing Operations, Expense and Corporate Credit Cards.
Oversee the entire receivables process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Manage and analyze Discords receivables, ensuring timely collection and maintaining accurate records.
Optimize the overall AR process and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Enhance our Accounts Receivable process within Oracle Fusion, working closely with our Revenue Accounting and Systems Teams.
Hire and manage a team once business needs are established.
Develop and enforce policies for effective collection, reducing DSO and minimizing outstanding balances.
Foster relationships with key customers, resolving billing disputes and ensuring satisfaction.
Prepare and present AR aging reports and financial analyses to senior management.
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and safeguard financial data integrity.
Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, Tax and Revenue Accounting departments to address AR issues.
Conduct month-end close tasks and prepare month and quarter close reporting.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven track record in process improvement and experience managing an AR team
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines
Experience in a global multi legal entity environment
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP systems is a plus
