We're now seeking a talented and experienced Manager, Design Services to join our team on a full or part-time basis, working remotely from the Dallas, USA area. About the Role As a Manager, Design Services at Wayfair, you'll play a critical role in leading our team of virtual design sales experts who work closely with clients to create personalized home designs that meet their unique needs, style, and budget. You'll be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing the skills and expertise of our design team. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and motivate a team of virtual design sales experts to meet or exceed sales, customer satisfaction, and revenue targets. Provide guidance and expertise on interior design processes, including moodboard creation, design customization, supplier communication, and deal closure. Develop and implement process improvements, tooling, and training to ensure the success of our design team. Respond to escalated client requests, complaints, or issues in a professional and courteous manner, resolving them effectively and efficiently. Make recommendations and implement corrective actions to manage performance and address any issues that arise. Collaborate with Talent Management and senior leadership to address and resolve employee concerns. Review time-off requests and ensure adequate staffing levels. Develop new workflows, pilot new software/tools, and create scalable processes and tests from scratch. Build strong relationships with our supplier and cross-functional partners. Partner with the Design Services business and strategy team to manage team effectiveness, quality, customer satisfaction, sales volume, and relationships. Represent a positive and professional demeanor at all times with clients and colleagues. Participate in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with rapid changes in products, promotions, offerings, and operations. Plan and execute team engagement activities, sales challenges, and continuous education classes. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field. 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in a design-related environment. 3+ years of prior management experience. Experience with Salesforce (preferred) and design tools such as AutoCad/Revit/other. A passion for excellent customer service and a drive to exceed sales targets. Strong communication, self-motivation, and relationship management skills. A history of thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment. Demonstrated use of technology to drive business results and the ability to learn new software programs quickly. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience managing and motivating a virtual, distributed team. Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications, as well as technical acumen to learn new business systems.
