Job Description

Our client is seeking male Paraprofessionals/Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our Low Incidence Program, supporting students ages 5–21 with significant disabilities. This role involves providing direct educational, behavioral, and personal care support in a collaborative classroom environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one and small group instructional support
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities
• Implement behavior intervention plans and support emotional regulation
• Help with hygiene, meals, mobility, and toileting
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Document student progress and observations
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques
• Respect and support students from diverse backgrounds
• Adhere to policies and professional standards
• Complete at least 20 hours of annual training
Program Overview

The Low Incidence Program serves students with:
• Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Multiple Disabilities
• Life Skills Needs
• Orthopedic Impairments
• Hearing and Vision Impairments
• Traumatic Brain Injuries
Qualifications
• Required: Male candidates only
• Minimum 1 year of experience with children or individuals with special needs
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (hands-on component required)
• TB Test (within 3 months)
• Mandated Reporter Training (within 5 years)
• PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 12 months)
• PA Criminal History Check (within 12 months)
• FBI Fingerprint/Background Check (within 12 months)
• Act 82 Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form
• Completed Act 168 Form
